What is Lokpal Bill ? ? ??

First of all ..Lokpal sounds so lame :|
They should come up with some good name for the post.....

Now what is the fuss all about...
Lokpal Bill was drafted way back in in 1950s and still never been presented in our parliament as it is a serious issue anti corruption bill
What is Jan Lokpal Bill ???

- An institution called LOKPAL at the centre and LOKAYUKTA in each state will be set up
- The main power is  that Lokpal can initiate investigation against anyone
- Lokpal can arrest
- Lokpal can run the trial
- Lokpal needs no permission to touch anyone
- Investigations in any case will have to be completed in one year. Trial should be completed in next one year so that the corrupt politician, officer or judge is sent to jail within two years ...
- If any work of any citizen is not done in prescribed time in any government office, Lokpal will impose financial penalty on guilty officers, which will be given as compensation to the complainant..
-It will be the duty of the Lokpal to provide protection to those who are being victimized for raising their voice against corruption..so they will be needing a force like FBI... :)

OK!!
Now the bill is good but why the bill is necessary.. I don't see a point...

This is just a ploy to get publicity towards Bharat Ratna...
In any democracy you can not make a government to present a bill..secondly who made him our representative..who the hell are these people of civil society ???
The whole panel have pending corruption cases against them.. Prashant Bhushan and Shanti Bhushan have accumulated wealth beyond their reach... Now tell me how we are supposed to endorse these self proclaimed leaders... It is just horrible...

The first thing the civil society did ....that they removed corruption cases against justice system out of Lokpal's reach.. in compensation to the govt. ... they removed PMO out of the picture ..so if that is the case.. then what is wrong with CBI.. CBI is an autonomous agency with power to do exactly that what this modified Lokpal bill is all about..

I just don't get why we want to change our CBI into some lame Lokpal... as both  have the same function...
Anna Hazare and all other people who don't have work to do like filmstars are fighting up for corruption ...but I don't see a point of erecting a multi lac bucks pandal at heart of our capital to do a hunger strike that too of not eating solid food... and who will complain to Lokpal ...people who try using Right to Information are burned alive or gutted out...so do you think these corrupted people will leave you..or do your work ...Naah!!

In short:
Lokpal bill >Good
Jan lokpal Bill > Very good
Bill - (Judiciary)- (PMO)= CBI  and you know how it is :P....

Shades

Going by the title of my blog.. I guess you will be thinking about something shady going around.. but you are wrong... I was going through a market search for buying my next sunglasses and landed on some awesome websites...

There were so much variety and so many reviews … I was all baffled up…there I landed up on Nytimes review of great sunshades and there I got to know about the online company started as NY startup ..Warby Parker…  I just clicked on the link and landed on varieties of shades…

It is company started by David Gilboa and his three B- school, Neil Blumenthal, Andrew Hunt and Jeffrey Raider.  They want a revolution in selling shades… and going by their website I was pretty pleased too… There were like dozens of design and each one was unique in its own way… As you I have a pretty high expectations from companies selling sunglasses… my amazement here can make you understand how stylish there were and how easy they were to be chosen…

I thought of doing some shopping for my lady and I chose a pretty neat design for her…Dark tortoise...it has tortoise eye glasses frame ...kind of like her eyes.. and will definitely accentuate her big eyes . I think that will enhance her  bossy look …hehehehe… You can try that the website out yourself… and they will be well within your range too… and yeah!! The shipping is free and you have 30 days trial period… Amazing isn’t…

And do chose a shade for me... ;-)

Wikileaks, India and Latest scandals

Ok!! As I promised.. I am back again... after so long.. Wikileaks have started focusing on India.... In last three days they released 8 cables...
Wikibomb 1: Congress bought MPs for 2008 trust vote.
US cable suggests MPs from Ajit Singh's RLD were paid Rs. 10 crore each by the Congress during the 2008 trust vote.
Wikibomb 2: P. Chidambaram's son and Azhagiri bribed voters
US cable claims DMK's Azhagiri paid Rs 5000 per voter in Thirumangalam. Karti Chidambaram is quoted as saying that it is impossible to distribute the money when the villages are spread so far apart in 2009 LS polls.
Wikibomb 3: The Afzal Guru dilemma
US cable sent on Oct 20, 2006 highlights Congress' fear of losing Muslim votes in UP if Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru is hanged.
Wikibomb 4: India, US face-off on sharing 26/11 info with Pak
US embassy cables claim Delhi tried to fend off US pressure on information sharing, before relenting.
Wikibomb 5: PM isolated on Pakistan
Cables claim that a US envoy after meeting NSA M.K. Narayanan was driven to the conclusion that PM was isolated within his own government over Pakistan.
Wikibomb 6: Pro-US tilt in cabinet shuffle
US cables sent by David Mulford claimed that the 2006 cabinet reshuffle had a pro-US tilt.
Wikibomb 7: West Asia policy hostage to Muslim vote
US cables stated that the UPA's policy towards West Asia is dictated by its anxiety to keep Muslims in good humour.
Wikibomb 8: Elitist Congress unwilling to engage with masses

Now tell me.... which things you don't already know????...

# Horse-trading... A common term used for bribing parliamentarians for voting... it is going on for ages.. you know before every trust vote.. each party locks down their MPs or MLAs..with girls and booze in guesthouses...under tight security..so that they can't interact with other political dealer or lobbyist ...so what's new in that....everybody knew that then Govt. survived the trust vote by bribing...and do you know what Pranab Mukherjee said.. he said that it was then govt. and it is not this govt.'s duty to investigate... and nor they are liable.. even then and now.. the faces running the Govt. are same...I guess there accountability just vanishes with every election....

# Bribing voters... lol.... We are so proud of our Indian democracy... do you know in our democracy ..majority voters are from the villages and small towns... ??? and do you know that how much each vote cost... Just a bottle of foreign liquor in towns and Local liquor in villages...??? So what!!! each election .. tons of illegal liquor is distributed...

# Afzal Guru...lol..somebody comes and strip our prestige in worldwide..killing soldiers and guards... attacking the parliament ...though corrupted but symbol of our democracy.. and he is sitting there smiling in jail.. why??? coz whoever comes in power .. start thinking of minority votes...do you think Indian muslims are all pro terrorism??? No....!!!! I know they all too want him hanged.. coz keeping him alive and giving the excuse that muslims endorse him.. insults them too...coz they are also Indians...

# About India's foreign policy against Pakistan... do you know India lost 1000s of troops and billions of currency when our Govt. decided to put them on border just after attack on parliament and then the govt. decided to go soft and ask them to return back...?? India has the poor foreign policy...and hen it comes to Pakistan.. it becomes more poor.. coz it fluctuates with every election.... and you know why ...:)...yeah!! minority appeasement.. and that is what guiding India's policy towards west Asia too....

# And about India being Pro-US... lol..somebody has to finance the election... if they have to win by bribing the voters... and US has Dollars... and everyone in India loves Dollars.. :D

So!!!! as Mr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi said....Govt. is not there to run and investigate every time Wikileaks publishes something... .. Yes!! Mr. Congress Spokesman!!! our Democracy runs on these principles and we certainly don't need to investigate the truth that we all know...But I am sure.. not very far is the time.. when people in India will know the corrupt faces and hang them with their votes...

PS: The excerpts are taken from HT .. India Today...I will be in touch with more Wikileaks expose...

Rising above own shadow ...

Sometimes you feel movies have magic… you feel so deeply engrossed... that you see as if the things are happening in real. “The King’s Speech” is indeed a magical experience. People were whispering that Academy awards are biased but I will certainly say that the movie was no less than bliss… each and every phase… each and every phrase were so eloquently poised that this movie gets an aura…

I was appreciative of James Franco’s presentation of ordeal and rooted for his Oscar and was postponing watching the “The King’s Speech” for so long… I was annoyed of Colin Firth’s recognition as the winner of the Best Actor in Academy awards … but not anymore…

Colin Firth played the role of the lifetime… he was so real with his stammer… his anxiousness to be the King and not able to deliver was so believable …that now I feel I should bow to his acting capabilities… though if you have watched “The single man” you must be his fan already…Geoffrey Rush was no less… but all above I should salute Tom Hooper for creating the classic as what Tom Hanks was explaining about…
The movie is not about some speech adjustments… it is movie about the struggle of a king to deliver to his own people… be rightful to one’s duties… shoulder the responsibilities be it whatever… and you can relate it with everything in your life…

This movie is about rising above what people feel about you… you be black… you be small… you be fat... but you need to love and admire yourself first… you should not feel frightened of your own shadow… you have to rise above good and bad…you need to see yourself from a true friend’s eyes… and you will see that you are indeed beautiful… you are what you are … and you are no less than people around you… if they don’t appreciate you… you just need to turn the page and find someone who is true to you… be it love… be it a friend …

This movie is an inspiration… and if you haven’t seen it… then find yourself a copy fast… as being late won’t harm but you will be indeed be late to feel the bliss I am feeling now… I am writing this with the Original score of the movie running in backdrop… and even if I am true AR Rehman fan… I must say that even Beethoven would have felt proud hearing the sound of Piano and Violins making the sweet symphony …
Above all ... the movie made my day…
